According to the official notification, SLPRB Assam will conduct a recruitment drive in which a total of 253 vacancies will be filled. We have given the category wise vacancy details in a tabular format.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria provided in the SLPRB Notification PDF before applying online application. We have a detailed explanation of educational qualifications, age requirements, and physical tests.

Assam Police Jail Warder Educational Qualification:

• H.S.L.C (High School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent from Govt. a recognized Board or Council.

SLPRB Assam Jail Warder Age Requirement:

• 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023
• Candidate must be born on or before 01 January 2005 and on or after 01 January 1983
• Age Relaxation is also available for eligible candidates

SLPRB Assam Jail Warder Physical Standards:

• Chest (only for men): measuring not less than 81 cm when deflated

Medical Standards:

• The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
• He / She must be free from any physical deformities.

Selection Procedure:

The selection of the candidates for SLPRB Jail Warden will be completed in Four phases.

• Preliminary verification of Documents
• PST & PET
• Written Test
• Oral /Viva Voce

Preliminary verification of Documents:

The documents of the candidates who have successfully applied for SLPRBAssam Jail Warder will be checked thoroughly

The candidates who successfully verified their documents will be called for further PST & PET test

The candidates who have been rejected will be given a rejection slip in which the reason for rejection will be written.

PST &PET:

The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events viz.

• 1600 meters race for male candidates and 800 meters race for female candidates.
• Long Jump – for males 335 cm (minimum) and for females 244 cm (minimum), 3 chances
  (longest valid jump will be considered).

Written Test:

• The written test will be conducted in offline mode ( To be answered in OMR Sheet)
• The candidates who have passed in Document verification and PST&PET test can now appear for the written test

SLPRB Jailwarder Exam Pattern:

• The test for SLPRB Jail Warder Recruitment 2023 will consist of 100 marks and will be in MCQ format
• The total marks for the Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking.
• The subjects to be covered will be as follows:-
  1. Elementary Arithmetic General English
  2. Logical reasoning/Mental ability
  3. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
  4. General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs

Viva:

• The candidates who have passed all the above tests then he/she will be called for a viva test.
• Two times the vacancy will be called for Viva

• The selected candidates will get Rs. 14000-60,500 (Pay Band No.2) as their monthly salary.
